I'm Hiromi Yaemi,

Hello!

I am from Murayama City in Yamagata Prefecture, located in the Tohoku region of Japan. It has been about 25 years since I moved to the United States.
When I first arrived, I balanced raising my children while attending school, studying early childhood education and languages, and starting work. It was a busy but fulfilling time. My children, who were once so little, have now grown up and are each following their own paths.

This year marks my 17th year working at a Spanish-English bilingual preschool. I once left the job, but because I love this work, I returned to the field. Even now, as a Japanese person, I continue to experience different cultures and learn from them every day.

I hope that my experiences can be of help to children, families, and teachers through my books.
It would make me very happy if you enjoy the stories I have poured my heart into.

I plan to continue publishing more books, so please stay tuned!

八咲  ひろ美です。

私は東北地方の山形県村山市出身です。アメリカに移住して約25年になります。

移住当時は子育てをしながら学校に通い、保育や語学の勉強をしつつ、仕事も始めるなど、

忙しくも充実した日々を過ごしました。小さかった子どもたちも今では成人し、

それぞれの道を進んでいます。

スペイン語と英語のバイリンガル保育園で働き始めて今年で17年目になります。

一度は退職しましたが、この仕事が好きで再び現場に戻りました。

今でも日本人としてさまざまな文化に触れながら、日々学習しています。

私の経験が本を通じて、子どもたちやご家族、そして先生方のお役に立てることを願っています。 

私が心を込めて作った物語を皆さんに楽しんでいただけると嬉しいです。
